Internet Marketing With Adsense or Affiliate Programs.

How will you make money in your Internet Marketing Quest?

As a new Internet marketer you have to know how you will be making money online. There are two basic choices when it comes to this… Adsense and affiliate programs. Some IM’ers use both and some live by one or the other. There is really only one way to know which is best for you. Experiment!

Internet Marketers spend a lot of time experimenting with everything we used to make money and it will be no different for you. In fact the only true way to know if something is effective is to take the time and test. The Internet changes every day and what may have worked yesterday might not work today. If it did not change making money would be much easier and we wouldn’t have to constantly have new information. This is the nature of the Internet and you will have to get use to it.

Anyway.

Adsense is Google’s ad network and it is the biggest online ad network in the world. Webmasters from all over the world use it to make money on their web pages day in and day out.Adsense is what is call a Pay Per Click or PPC network. There are many PPC networks like adsense, but again it is the largest and most advance. It is very simple to use and much easier to make money from than affiliate programs. The setup of it is very simple also, after you have your Website up and running you simply sign up for an adsense account and wait to be approved. Once you are approved you create an adsense block and put it in you site and wait for the clicks to roll in. Unfortunately getting the clicks are much more difficult and will have be a whole other article. All your earnings will be tracked by Google and you can see all your stats in one place. This make it easy to know how much you are making on all your Site and can be setup to show you which is performing well and which is not doing so well. Google will give you all the tools you need to make the best of ad blocks on your site.

Affiliate programs get a little more complex, but in my opinion has the best potential to make the most money. Most Internet marketers choose affiliate programs over adsense for this reason. The setup of affiliate programs take a little more work. You have two choices with affiliate marketing, you can join an affiliate network or you can find individual programs for products that you want to promote and join if they have an affiliate program.

Affiliate networks have many products and services you can promote from many different merchants. This would be the best choice for beginners because you have all the programs in one place and like Google Adsense you can track all your stats in one place.

Finding individual Affiliate programs have only one benefit over affiliate networks. Since you are going to the source and not through a second party you can get paid more for the same task, but it will require more work on your end. You will have to manage all the merchants you have accounts with and make sure you get paid for all the sales you make. My advice on this one as a new Internet marketer stick with the affiliate networks until you gain some experience.

There are many affiliates programs, affiliate networks and adsense type (PPC) programs out there for you to choose from. The best ones I know are:
Affiliate networks: commission junction, Clickbank and max bounty.
Pay Per Click (PPC): Adsense, Yahoo ads (YPN) and Chitika.

Thousands of Internet marketers make a good living promoting any combination of these, and you can do the same. Learning something new is never easy, but it is an excellent way to make the amount of money you want to make right from you computer.

Remember every good Internet marketer read as much as they can get their hands on and test what they have learned
over and over again. You will come across many people telling you this works and that doesn’t work, but the ONLY
way to know is to test it for your self (I cannot say this enough).

I will leave you with this Internet marketing is fun and profitable so, just take your time and build a solid
foundation. If you take the time to learn the basics now the money will come much easier for you later.

Till next time….

Internet Marketers Christmas Gift

Its Christmas and I have a gift for all you Internet marketing noob like myself. In our quest to learn as much
as we can about making money online we will come across countless numbers of useless crap, a few good places with
useful information and if your lucky one gem of a site. I have been studying about Internet marketing for almost ten months now and one of the first make money online blogs I laid my eyes on was John Chow. I thought it was the best site in the world, here is this guy telling you how to make the same kind of money he was making for free. You can just read and follow his foot steps. Well, after about a month of reading Mr. Chow’s blog I came across Problogger and thought how lucky can I be. All this free information from real professionals who are doing the same thing right now to make money.

While most of these blogs do have useful information about Internet marketing what they don’t tell you is the whole story. Making a living online can be easy, if you have the resource, knowledge and connections the A-listers do
but, we do not have these benefits coming out the gate. The truth is we are not Internet marketers we are students
and the problem with that is we do not have any teachers. We have to read and learn enough to separate the crap
from the bullshit and then the bullshit from the gems.

I think I have enough knowledge to recognize a gem when I see it and Make money online for beginners is a hell of a
gem. I started reading this blog about four months ago and  while he might only post 4-5 times a month the information he gives is the real deal. This blog ranks second in the SERP’s for the most competitive keywords. I Feel uncomfortable praising others so I will end the praises with this… Take the time and read this blog and you will understand what I am trying to tell you and this is my gift to you. The best resource of knoledge I know.

As a student in this Internet marketing game we have a lot to learn and while we cannot learn it all in one place we should have a good place to start. I would love to tell you that my site is the definition of Internet marketing its not, I’m learning just like you. What I try to do here is help new marketers that are just learning about
blogging and making money online and I can only tell you about what I know. One day I will rank on the first page
for Internet marketing but right now I don’t think I’m on the first million pages.

Anyway, it is Christmas and while I should be with my family I am here working so, I will end this by saying…
MARRY CHRISTMAS! to you and your family. Ho! HO! HO!

Link Building And Anchor Text Basics Part 2

Ok I’m up and ready to go. Last post I was talking about link building and no follow tags. Now I’m going to talk about anchor text and how to use them with no follow links.

When you have a chance to place a link on other sites with your anchor text it is a golden moment. When you go to a blog and read a great post (like this one) you might read the comments too.

Let’s say you read a post about back links and you see a comment by some one that look like they know what they are talking about. Their anchor text say something like “Girlie blog” would you click that link to continue your education?
Now same scenario but the anchor text say “Back link Guru” would you click that link? I would.

Just because it’s a no-follow link does not mean it’s useless. I check my visitor stats daily and one of the things I look for is the referring page. I get about 50 visitors from no follow links on a daily basis and Jermaine Fitzgerald Dot Com is brand new.

Yes, we all know Google goes ape shit over anchor text, but the visitor that are on the site reading the content are looking for more right then and there. This is your chance to get them to your site and if you have quality content you can keep them coming back. Building links in a way that people will use them is a strategy I use on a daily basis and trust me it works. I don’t care about no-follow tags or page date, if I read an article that is relevant to one of my own, I use anchor text that will make other readers want to click on my link. Even if Google never see that link real humans will and if my anchor text is interesting and relevant it’s more likely to be clicked on for more information.

Like I said in the last back links post “The more links you have the better the chance of visitors finding your site.” So don’t even waste your time looking for no-follow tags just use some creativity in your anchor text and get as much links as you can.

Anchor text I simply a way for Google to know if one site is relevant to another but, to you is should be a way to get new visitors. Webmasters forget the reason they have a site in the first place. Its not for Google it’s for real user to get information, service or products. Build your site and back links for them and Google will follow.

I have other blogs to write for so I will end this here. I will write about reason # 2 in my next post. I have to go make some breakfast for my wifey. I promised. Good luck with your link build campaigns. See ya!

Basics of building links Part 1

Do you know what one of the biggest problems site owners have is?

Link building…Yes, getting back links.
I am an active member in many of the SEO forums and I see it all the time. The same question “How do I build back links?”

Some spend hours commenting on blogs, posting on forums, article submissions and what ever else they do to build links and don’t even understand the basics of link building. The simple things you should know before they waist all that time and effort. You can’t build anything without a foundation and if you want it to grow a lasting solid well thought out foundation. You better know the basics.

Well, this is one of the reasons I started Jermaine Fitzgerald Dot Com. I believe that webmasters are the backbone of the net. Yeah, yeah I know some of you think Google is alpha and omega, but that’s a whole another article. We should have a free flow of useful information that will help each other and that is the basis I am building this blog on.

Anyways, back links… better yet the basics of link building. While I’m not going to teach you how to build links I will teach you something just a valuable. There are two main reasons to build up your links.
1: The more links you have the better the chance of visitors finding your site.
2: To rank better in the search engine result page or SERP.

I will start with the first one just plain having massive amount of links. How people find your site should be the third most important thing on your mind after the content of your site and your keywords. The way people find your site is through … you guess it. LINKS. The simple math is the more you have the easier you are to find. Most webmasters won’t give no-follow links the time of day. These are the ones that think that Google is god. Just as you should write your content for the readers of your site you should get link in the same manner. The visitors to other site don’t care if your link has a no-follow tag after it, if they think you have the answer to their questions they will click the link. You have to remember that you can’t see html tags and you click links to other sites all the time. The no-follow tag was create for the purpose of managing the “juice” from your site to the next and it does one thing and one thing only. STOP ROBOTS. That’s it. This tag tells the search engine spiders not to follow this link because I don’t want that site being associated with mine, but humans can’t see this. If you follow the rules of placing you link on pages with content that are related to yours with good anchor text people will click it. What I am trying to say is, if you have the chance to get a link on a page with information related to yours get it no-follow tag or not. Build links for people not just robots. Part 2 is coming soon!

Oh the life of a Internet Marketer. Good luck with your link building campaign and give me a link. See ya!

Why You Should Build A Brand Not Just A Blog

Are you just building a website?
It’s no secret that authority sites are at the top of the SERP’s and make the owners a small fortune every month. These well trusted sites have 1000’s of feed subscribers and twitter followers that can’t wait for the next post. Most of these sites started with no visitors and have grown into brands. Some started as Wordpress blogs and has evolved into full blown sites.

I have come across many sites that has the potential to be come more than just another blog or website, but site owners don’t take the time to brand much less update for that matter. Reports have shown that there’s over 70 million blogs and out of this massive number, how many are worth your subscription?

People have a range of emotions when it comes to John Chow… mostly dislike, but his blog earning for October is over $30,000 , Digitalpoint is one of the largest forums for webmasters with subscriptions of 100,000 plus and Sitepoint is the leading website/blog auction site with over 1,000 auction’s monthly. These 3 sites have one major thing in common. They all started as just an idea and has been built into brand name sites that earn generous income month after month after month.

Brick and mortar companies across the globe spend billions upon billions to build their brands and will continue to do so long after we are dead and gone. Yes, I know that we don’t have billions to spend. We have something better… the “Internet”. The only place that you can start a business without a penny and build it into your very own money making machine. All in your Fruit Of The Looms.

A lot of webmasters have many sites that make them a good living, but I am a firm believer in building a brand not just websites. A brand will last you for years, grow in value, make you an authority in your field and can be passed on to the next generation.

Here are some simple tips for building your brand.

1) Build it around something you love.
2) Don’t pay any attention to the amount of competition. Just build it.
3) Make sure you have a logo.
4) Don’t follow any blueprints just keep it legal.

This is my first blog and I have plans to build it into my own little brand. You can easily do the same with a little work.

Good luck. See ya!
